I think regardless of the day as long as you want to spend the rest of your life with the person in question that's all that matters. I think they day its self is irrelevant as long as its romantic. My step-dad proposed to my mum on Christmas day when I was about 13 and we were all in tears. He was in his dressing gown and we were on the floor throwing wrapped paper everywhere, my Mum didnt say no and it wasn't the most romantic of proposals x

I think it honestly depends on how the couple feels about christmas. I just got engaged. It was a quiet moment between the both of us. I knew it was coming because we looked at rings together. It wasn't any less special since it wasn't on a holiday.

I think it's just all depends on what the couple wants you know. It doesn't matter what others think of it, you know.

I can see where the cliche view may come from, but I totally agree with you. I guess it doesn't really matter if both of you feel you are ready and are prepared for the special event. I do think that it would definitely make a great surprise present for Christmas tho! <3 xx
