FEBRUARY EMPTIES

Hello lovelies, happy Friday! Today, I'm doing another empties post, as I've finished more bits and bobs than I expected to so I thought I'd share them. I'm trying my best to make these empties posts a monthly thing, for one thing, I find them really interesting and really enjoy reading them, but it's also great to actually use things up rather than have drawers and shelves full of half used products! Anyway onto the products!

Weleda Pomegranate Body Oil
我收到了这个很久以前的事了in a Glossy Box, I used it a couple of times and didn't really think much of it, but I recently rediscovered it and I've actually really enjoyed using it again. It's quite a thick oil, it's still very runny but it's not the lightest oil I've ever tried. It also has quite a strange scent, sort of citrussy, despite the name! I think this is definitely a winter product for me, despite the summery scent as it's super moisturising and I don't really fancy smothering myself in a thick oil in the summer!
Repurchase?Maybe. I enjoyed using this product and made my arms and legs very soft and it's definitely the best body oil I've tried so far, but I'd like to try others before buying this one again.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub
I was unsure on this scrub at first, because, despite what most other bloggers have said, the scent didn't instantly wow me. I found it a bit hard to get used to, but after using it a couple of times, it seriously grew on me and I was seriously sad to see it go! This is a fab scrub and the citrussy scent is really energizing in the morning.
Repurchase?Eventually, I'm working my way through The Breakfast Scrub and have just bought Pulp Friction, but this will be back in my bathroom before long!

Pure Acetone
Bit of a boring one I know, but I thought I'd include it anyway! I mainly use this on my clients as it's great for soaking off Shellac, but I have been known to use it as a super quick nail polish remover sometimes - shh! Now, I'm not condoning this, because acetone is not good to use regularly on your nails, it'll dry them out. But it works very well none the less!
Repurchase?Definitely.

Piz Buin Summer Sensation Moisturiser
I bought this a while back as I needed a new moisturiser quickly and it was on offer in Savers so I thought I'd give it a go! While I liked this as a moisturiser, it is supposed give a light natural tan to the face and it was absolutely useless at that. I don't know if I got a dodgy bottle but this just didn't work for me.
Repurchase? No, it was nice enough, but doesn't do what it says on the tin!

L'Oreal Preference Intensive Conditioner
This is one of the conditioners that comes with a hair dye, the dye was L'Oreal Feria in Metallic Silver blonde, I bought this to touch up my roots and I wasn't too impressed. It lightened my hair a little, but I've used way better dyes before that do a much better job! That said, it wasn't too drying and the conditioner was lovely!
Repurchase?I'm not sure they sell this separately, but if they did I definitely would.

Provoke Touch of Silver Toning Shampoo
我不认为我需要告诉你我有多罗ve this shampoo. I'm pretty sure I've spoken about this several times on the blog before, but it seriously is THE best toning shampoo for blondes. If you're a blonde and you hair tends to go a bit yellowy, or you'd just like a bit more of an ashy tone, you NEED this in your life.
Repurchase?Over and over again!!

Vo5 Miracle Concentrate
I've tried quite a few hair oils and while I know a lot of people love this, it wasn't my favourite. It's nice, but I think as my hair is quite fine, it's a bit too heavy for it. It was far too easy to use too much of this, meaning it often made my hair feel greasy. I also didn't find this as hydrating as some other oils. I'd heard quite a few rave reviews about this, so maybe it's just me doing something wrong, but I just don't think this oil is for me.
Repurchase?Probably not.

Korres Jasmine Lip Butter
I was so, so sad to finish this. I think this may be my most favourite lip balm ever. I did a full reviewhereso I won't bang on, but I seriously love this.
Repurchase?Yes, I have the Guava lip butter at the moment as well as various other lip balms, but I don't know how long I can live without this!

L'Oreal Colour Riche Nail Polish Marie Antoinette
This isn't quite gone, but it's quite dried up now so I can't really use it anymore! This is a gorgeous colour, it's a lovely, light, natural pink, but the bottle is just so tiny! Normally, I wouldn't mind as I rarely finish a nail polish before it dries up, but you need three coats of this to get it opaque, so it does go down quite quickly
Repurchase?Maybe if it was on offer ;)

LOOK Beauty Stay Put Loose Powder
I bought this not so long ago when buying a few look beauty bits and bobs. I love loose powders and I liked this one, but I feel like I had to use more of it than I have done with other loose powders and I wasn't best impressed with how long it lasted. However, I did get this on offer and it did the job for a low price!
Repurchase?Possibly, but I'd like to try some others first.

Covergirl Lashblast Mascara
This is a seriously old lashblast that I meant to include in an empties post forever ago, but I lost it! It turned up in the back of my cupboard so I thought I'd throw it in. This was sent to me by the lovely Ariel from chiclookxo.com and it's my all time favourite mascara. Ariel and I often do beauty swaps and this has been in every one of them!
Repurchase? If it was easier to get in the UK I'd have a drawer full (possibly an exaggeration.)

Hope you enjoyed reading this and let me know if you've done any empties posts as I love reading them!

LATEST LOVES

I've been on a bit of a healthy hair mission lately and thisSchwartzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Leave in Conditioner was on offer for less than £2 in Superdrug so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did! It makes my hair feel so soft and moisturised. I spray it on when it's damp after the shower or whenever my hair's feeling a little dry. It helps keep it smooth and easy to brush through, which is fantastic. I may do a full review on this if anyone is interested.
I did a full post on thisKorres 3in1 Cleansing waterso I won't talk about it too much, but it really is amazing. I got it for £4.99 in TK Maxx too. My TK Maxx has had lots of Korres lately, so keep your eyes peeled in your local one!
I've been using this Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation lately as I've been trying to find a good high street/ drugstore foundation and I've actually been surprised at how much I like it. It's not the best foundation I've ever used but for a cheaper one, it's definitely one of the better ones I've tried. It gives a medium - full coverage and lasts a long time. Maybe not the full 25 hours, but I don't really touch it up too much throughout the day.
It is official, Covergirl Lashblast is the best mascara in the world. I received this in myChristmas Swapwith Ariel fromchiclookxo.comand I've loved having it again. They just need to bring it over to the UK now!

I did a full review onSoap and Glory's Sexy Mother Puckerlip gloss in Pink Apricot a few days ago so again, I won't go on too much but I just love this lip gloss. I love the tingly feeling it gives your lips, it lasts for hours and it actually does seem to plump my lips a little.
My favourite red lipstick of the moment has been Rimmel's Alarm. It is a true bright red, without beingtooblue or yellow. I love wearing this with a darker red lip liner underneath to get a slightly more vampy shade. It lasts a long time and doesn't smudge too much. I generally really like Rimmel lipsticks, I desperately want some of the new(ish) Kate Moss ones!
TheTopshop Lipstick in Nevadais another I've done a full review on so once again, I won't ramble on. But this has been my everyday lipstick lately, I wear a nude lipstick pretty much every day in the day time, this looks particularly lovely paired with the Soap and Glory gloss.
This Deborah Lippmann nail polish was one I received in a Glossy Box many a moon ago now, but I've recently found a new love for it. It's a gorgeous deep wine coloured glitter, it's incredibly opaque for a glitter too.
And finally,NYX Cream Blush in Boho Chicthis was another item I received in the swap with Ariel. I love it so much, I adore cream blushes and had never tried a NYX one until I received this. It's such a gorgeous natural pink colour, it looks fab on my skin tone. It's very long lasting too which is great!

Hope you enjoyed!
What have you been loving lately? Have you tried any of these products?

CHRISTMAS SWAP WITH CHICLOOKXO

Hi guys!
Me and Ariel fromchiclookxo.comdid two beauty swaps last year when I had my old blog, we did one in the summertime and one at Christmas and I wassoexcited to do another Christmas swap this year! If you don't know what beauty a swap is, it's when two bloggers (usually from different countries) pick out beauty items for eachother and send them over for them to try out. It's great because it gives you an opportunity to try out brands that you can't get in your own country. For example, Ariel sends me a CoverGirl mascara ineveryswap because it's my absolute favourite and you can't get it here!
In this package Ariel sent me;
Popping Corn (intrigued!)
Essence Nail Polish in Chic Reloaded
Essence Stay All Day Eyeshadow in Coppy Right
NYX Cream Blush in Boho Chic (prettiest colour EVER)
Bath and Bodyworks PocketBac in Apple Wreath
Bath and Bodyworks Shower Gel in Pink Sugar Plum (Just in time, I've just finished LUSH Snow Fairy, but I actually think Pink Sugarplum smells better! I'll be so sad when this runs out!)
NYX Jumbo Shadow Pencil in Milk
Covergirl Lashblast Mascara
Physicians Formula Plumping Palette in Browns (I'm usually scared of brown shades but these are stunning, they're pretty much all 'your lips but better' shades)
Physicians Formula Baked Wet or Dry Shadows in Ginger Snap

She also included a couple of things for my twin sister Hannah, which was SO sweet of her. Also, how cute is the wrapping paper she used? I'm such a sucker for Hello Kitty - so cute! I think Ariel may be my Canadian twin, she always seems to pick out perfect items for me. Thanks so much Ariel!

I'll definitely do some full reviews, let me know if there's anything you'd particuarly like me to review.
Definitely check out Ariel's blogchiclookxo.comand send her some love!
