Hiya lovelies! I hope you're all having a lovely weekend, I've had a fab time chilling watching movies and attempting to start my Christmas shopping (or finally buying myself a new coat, same thing) and now I'm spending my Sunday afternoon blogging and waiting for this storm to develop! Eep. Anyway, yesterday my very lovely boyfriend surprised me with this gorgeous little gift from the Benefit Counter. I guess Darren must pay more attention than he lets on when I drag him around endless clothes shops and makeup counters, because yesterday he presented me with this little beauty that he picked out completely on his own, boyfriend points awarded in the form of a bacon sandwich for breakfast.

'Hello Flawless' powder is one I'd been umming and ahhing over for a while as I'd heard great things, but I'm incredibly emotionally attached to my MAC MSF natural. However this powder did not disappoint, it mattifies, sets your makeup and provides a little extra coverage, perfect for wearing over the lighter foundation, seriously impressed!

Honestly, on first impressions alone, I would say I'd definitely buy all these products in full size. I'd possibly need to give the concealer a second look, but I've been super impressed with everything so far. I may do an update on these products if anyone would be interested in that as I think it's good to give everything a few days or weeks wear when you're trying out a new foundation routine.

I think this kit is perfect for anyone looking to try new face products as you get all you need in one kit and you know you're getting products that are made to work well with each other. 你好Lovelies！Well, what on earth has been going on around here eh? GFC seems to have been 'down' for quite a while now, could this finally be the end?? I really do wish google had been clearer on this, we've all been left in the dark about this a bit. Annoying! Anyway, onto the point of the post. My new favourite makeup brush! I tweeted a while ago asking how you lovelies applied your liquid foundations, as my Real Techniques buffing brush had seriously seen better days. So, I trotted off to Superdrug, only to find Real Techniques (RT) were on sale for buy one get one half price! I think this offer is still on so snap some up while you can! Superdrug are actually slightly cheaper than Boots for RT brushes anyway, this was £8.99 as opposed to £9.99 in Boots, so that's worth knowing! So I picked up the Expert Face Brush and Stippling Brush for my sister. Me being me, I couldn't wait until the next day to apply my makeup, so I tried this as soon as I got home (after taking photos of course, blogger points!).

Overall, I'd totally recommend this brush to anyone, if you're a long time makeup lover like myself, it'll be a pleasure to add to your collection and it's also super user friendly and great if you're just getting started too.

I ordered this in the colour 'Fresco' which is my perfect summer shade. As you can see, it looks a little dark on my hand before I blended it out (and I had no tan to speak of when I took these photos, I'm suitably Garnier'd up now), but it blends really well and looks super flawless and even when on the skin. I've been using this with my Real Techniques buffing brush, which provides a flawless, medium/ full coverage finish. It'd very light on the skin despite having excellent coverage, which is particularly fab in the warmer weather. The finish is also quite matte, which I like as I can get a little shiny (not oily, strangely enough just shiny!) around my nose during the day! I still apply a powder over the top but I don't find I need nearly as much powder as usual which is great. I think this would be a great foundation for most skin types, but it'd not going to be for you if you like a more dewy finish.

By far my favourite thing about this foundation is it's lasting power. I've had some seriously long days at work and things lately, my make up goes on at about 6:30 some days and is still there when I've got home at 9:30 at night! I'mterriblefor touching my face during the day too so it seriously hardcore stuff. Despite being very long-wearing and mattifying, I don't find it drying in the slightest and it stays flawless all day without going patchy or settling into pores. I can honestly say this is exactly what I've been looking for in a foundation and I'm so glad I finally have in to the £27.50 price tag as it's worth every single penny! I've seen a few people grumble about the lack of pump on this as it's a glass bottle but it doesn't really phase me. I think the packaging is super luxurious and the foundation is very 'liquidy' so it pours out of the bottle really easily (not so great if it was to get knocked over though!).
